I adopted my best friend, Ariel Amore, from Elizabeth in 2015, and it was overall the best experience I have ever had in getting a new dog. She was friendly from the first message that was exchanged and she was willing to work out a time to meet us that worked with both of our schedules. When we met her, it was clear she cared about the breed and the puppies she produced, and was willing to answer any questions we had. She was open and honest, and eager to keep in contact with us once we brought our puppy home. We have stayed in contact for two years and recently adopted two more puppies from her and could not be any more satisfied. She is the only breeder we ever wish to go to for our puppies.

I am so thankful that I found Johnsen Family Goldens! My precious Peeta (from Snowball and Buckle) was born on their farm in April, 2016. I can’t imagine a better dog for my life. He is loving, gentle, obedient, friendly, healthy, not nervous at all, and of course gorgeous like his dad! The Johnsens were great people to work with. I received emails with pictures and updates about the litter from the night they were born through the day I picked him up. This was so important to me because I live about 7 hours away, and couldn’t wait to finally pick out my baby. I can tell that the puppies were so well cared for and loved by the family. I couldn't be happier with my puppy, Huck. I bought him from the Johnsen's back in June of 2016 and he is beautiful, healthy, and came from two awesome dogs that Elizabeth and her family own. All of their adult dogs and puppies are well cared for and it was so great receiving pictures and updates from the moment the litter was born until the time that I was able to pick my puppy up and bring him home. I highly recommend this family and these puppies and would buy from them again in the future. Thank you for giving me such a sweet and lovable ball of fur!

I got Adella from Elizabeth in 2017, and she was absolutely pleasant to deal with. As she was my first dog, I was nervous about the whole process but Elizabeth made it so easy. Now Adella is 2 1/2 years old and she is SUCH a good dog. I've never had an issue with her. She was easy to train and she's so well behaved. Her temperament is amazing, I've never seen her snarl or be nasty with other dogs. She's so true to the Golden Retriever stereotype: always smiling and happy to be with her person. Anyone who knows me can see how much I adore this dog. She is truly one of the best things I've ever been lucky enough to call mine. If I ever needed another dog, I would absolutely go back to Elizabeth.

We are so thrilled with our puppy Little Bear! When we first got the notified that we were next on the list, it was the answer to a prayer! Elizabeth was so friendly and professional the whole time. We received videos and pictures beforehand as he was growing before we picked him up at 8 weeks. You could tell the puppies are well taken care of! Bear loves little kids so much, and I know that is because of him starting off with the Johnsen family. He is the sweetest, smartest, most playful little boy and we love him so much! hi there! hope you and your family are doing well! just wanted to send an updated photo of Riggins, who just turned 1 on Dec 13. he’s doing so well and is the happiest boy. we get so many comments when we take him out and about on how happy he looks ☺️ we moved to Arizona this past October, and we’ve come to learn that he loves hiking with us! we couldn’t be more grateful for him, and for your family for allowing us to have him. even though we are in AZ, i still keep an eye on your facebook page/website for new litters and will not hesitate to fly back to Kentucky to get a second one from you one day!
